2019 to 2022 - ATN 157: We Prevent

Innovation

The We Prevent study tested relationship-based HIV prevention strategies among couples (a dyadic strategy).

Why It Matters

The We Prevent study highlighted that sexual health decisions often occur within relationships, not isolation. Participants who received We Prevent counseling reported less condomless sex with people who were not their boyfriend/partner. We Prevent may be an important inclusion into existing service delivery for young gay and bisexual men.
