Our Collaborators
The ATN is comprised of over 30 universities, healthcare providers, and community organizations.
The network is spearheaded by two groups, the Scientific Leadership Center which is led by faculty at Florida State University’s Institution on Digital Health and Innovation and the University of Illinois Chicago, and the Operations and Collaborations Center, which is led by experts from Westat.

ATN Youth
The ATN’s youth Subject Matter Research Consultants (SMRC) are part-time employees at Florida State University who are members of study teams and Scientific Leadership Groups, providing expertise throughout the research process, from study development through implementation, analysis, and sharing the results of our research back to the community.
In addition to the SMRC, youth from each of the ATN’s recruitment sites represent their community as paid volunteers serving on the ATN’s National Community Advisory Board (NCAB).

Recruitment Sites
ATN recruitment sites, or site consortia, are established collaborations among clinics, universities, community-based organizations, health departments, and other partners across several cities in the United States.
These recruitment sites help us successfully enroll participants into our studies while fostering mutually beneficial relationships with communities through fun and varied outreach activities.
Staff members at the recruitment sites are typically the people that participants interact with throughout their time in the study, assisting with enrollment, study intervention delivery, and follow-up assessments.

Study Teams
Teams at these institutions are responsible for designing the innovative strategies implemented in our studies.
Our studies address persistent gaps across the youth HIV continuum, like testing new strategies to increase HIV testing rates or learning how effective new medication options for HIV and STI prevention are for young people.
